An opportunity has arisen for a Plant Fitter based from our Head Office, Huthwaite. You will Need to have good understanding of plant and construction equipment and will be workshop based but with the requirement to go to sites for repairs and servicing.

Main duties include responsibility and accountability for the following:

  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out running repairs and routine servicing on site.
  • Inspect plant and equipment for wear and tear
  • Inspect plant and equipment for damage
  • Identify faults and carry out repairs
  • Identify parts requirements
  • Carry out routine daily inspections
  • Accurately record work carried out and ensure good housekeeping
  • Comply with company Health & Safety policy and practices
  • Mentor apprentices from time to time

 

Skills and Experience 

 

  • CSCS Qualification
  • Experience with hydraulic systems
  • Vehicle electrical systems
  • Diesel and plant engines
  • two and four stroke petrol engines
  • Welding an thermal cutting
