Summer Placement - Civil Engineering

Where will you be based? We have a specific requirement for 2 Civil Engineering summer placements based in Hull working on Flood Alleviation Scheme in Anlaby.
What will you be doing?
During your 3 month placement you will gain practical experience on real-life assignments that will really put your theoretical knowledge to the test. We’ll give you visibility in key areas of our business which includes: design, operations, safety and commercial. You’ll really appreciate the importance of engineering innovation. Our experts will provide you with an insight into our business, alongside guiding and supporting you in gaining valuable experience of Civil Engineering to assist with your studies. In order to develop quickly, you will be given a real taster of the role and responsibility as early as possible working on projects that are effectively delivered to meet our client’s requirements. This will see your skills flourish and help you reach your full potential - a fantastic start to your career, and you might get a chance to join our graduate programme too.
What we’re looking for:
- Currently studying a degree in Civil Engineering. - An excellent communicator with a proactive approach. - Commitment to working in, and comply with a high standard health and safety environment. - Can demonstrate an understanding of Civil Engineering practices. - Personal drive and technical know-how, alongside willingness to learn. - Proven IT skills, and an understanding of Excel.
